Our assessment
Mostly sustainable
Lavera is a NATRUE founding member and carries both NATRUE and COSMOS — the same certification level as more expensive premium natural-cosmetics brands. As a drugstore product, Lavera is for many families the most accessible entry into certified natural cosmetics.
What we know
Lavera is a brand of laverana GmbH from Hanover, founded in 1987 by Thomas Haase and a NATRUE founding member (2007). The bulk of the range is doubly certified, with NATRUE and COSMOS. Since 2021 the company has produced carbon-neutrally (ClimatePartner); the products are vegan and PETA-certified, free of mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, PEGs, silicones and microplastics. Thanks to wide availability in drugstores such as dm and Rossmann, Lavera is easy to find.
