Baby Food & Nutrition
With baby food, organic certification is the baseline, not the goal. We look closer: which organic standard lies behind it — EU organic, Demeter, or a company's own, stricter standard? How thorough is the residue testing? Does the grain come from contract farming with long-term relationships, or from the anonymous world market? For families with babies and toddlers, every ingredient counts twice — here we've researched the best-known brands and summarised what sets them apart.

Feeding & Pacifiers
What stays in the mouth longer should be especially safe — that goes for pacifiers, teethers, teats and training cups. We look at the materials (natural rubber, medical-grade silicone, glass instead of plastic), at freedom from harmful substances (BPA, PVC, phthalates, plasticisers), and at whether a product is made in one piece or has seams where germs can collect. Origin and packaging count too. We've gathered these factors for the most common brands.

Household Cleaners & Detergents
With household cleaners, it's less about the label than the substance behind it. We look at the biodegradability of the surfactants, the origin of the raw materials (plant-based from Europe, or palm oil?), packaging made from post-consumer recyclate, and refill systems that save material. The overall strategy matters too: is the company EMAS-certified, does it pursue a genuine circular approach? We've gathered these factors for the most common brands.
