A landscaped playground in the southern Herrngarten, Darmstadt's largest park. Originally shaped climbing equipment, a water feature, swings and seesaws invite children from around age two. Right next door lies the pond with ducks and geese.

Central location, easy to reach by bike. Original equipment such as the climbing elephant and the water feature. Shady thanks to old trees, easy to combine with a loop around the pond.
What you should know
It can get busy at weekends and after school. There is no catering right at the playground. No admission charge. There is currently an open drug scene in the Herrngarten, which the city and residents are actively addressing — a watchful eye is advisable during a visit. The situation may change.
