Playgrounds in Darmstadt

A landscaped playground in the southern Herrngarten, Darmstadt's largest park. Originally shaped climbing equipment, a water feature, swings and seesaws invite children from around age two. Right next door lies the pond with ducks and geese.

The Botanical Garden of TU Darmstadt is open to the public and free of charge. The greenhouses are home to tropical plants, alongside a medicinal-herb garden and rare collections from around the world. For children it's less a playground than a place to marvel — well suited to getting to know plants and ecosystems through play.
