An organic supermarket with a 100% organic range. More than 6,000 products, from fresh fruit and vegetables to bread from regional organic bakers, natural cosmetics, natural textiles and a large selection for babies and children. Alnatura's own baby food has been available in organic quality for years.
What speaks for it
A 100% organic range — no conventional sidelines. Alnatura is headquartered in Darmstadt, so the link to the city is direct. Many fresh products come from regional farms, including the Eichwaldhof in Darmstadt. Natural-cosmetics brands such as Weleda, Dr. Hauschka and Lavera are in the range. In 2024 Alnatura received the German Sustainability Award as the most sustainable company in its sector.
What you should know
Alnatura is an organic supermarket, not a farm shop — the range is broad, but not everything is regional. Organic standards vary by brand: EU organic as the minimum, with many products carrying Bioland or Demeter, but not the entire range. If shortest supply chains matter to you, it's better to supplement the shop with a farm shop.
