Why we included this place

Few places combine nature, swimming and relaxation as naturally as the Großer Woog. Young children enjoy the shallow bathing area, older kids head for the diving platform and parents relax beneath the mature trees. Unlike many traditional outdoor pools, the Großer Woog feels more like a natural swimming lake in the middle of the city. Generations of Darmstadt residents have learned to swim here, making it a true local landmark.
