regreen
regreen: What this certification means
What does this certification mean?
regreen is a relatively new certification system for regeneratively produced agricultural raw materials. Rather than focusing solely on reducing environmental harm, it aims to recognise farming practices that actively improve soils, biodiversity and ecosystem health.
The standard is built around the principles of regenerative agriculture. Its goal is to support farms in strengthening the long-term resilience of agricultural land while restoring natural resources instead of simply maintaining them.
What is verified?
Farms must implement measures that improve soil health and long-term soil fertility.
Protecting and enhancing biodiversity forms part of the certification requirements.
Criteria include crop rotation, soil cover and farming practices that minimise soil disturbance.
Agricultural inputs and farming methods are assessed for their ecological impact.
The standard emphasises continuous improvement rather than a one-time pass/fail assessment.
Compliance is verified through independent certification and auditing procedures.
