Fair Wear
Fair Wear Foundation – Social standards in textile production: What this certification means
Category: Textiles / Clothing
What is verified
Assesses not individual products but how fashion brands manage and improve social standards in their sewing factories. Member brands commit to continuous improvement in eight core areas: fair wages, working hours, safe working conditions, a ban on child and forced labour, and freedom of association. The annual Brand Performance Check evaluates progress — LEADER status is the highest attainable category. Says nothing about ecological aspects.
